Stray Dogs

The Pit Chic a NYS Registered Animal Shelter. In addition to sheltering and providing

veterinary care to all animals brought to the shelter, we work diligently to place these animals in new homes.

We collaborate and coordinate with several local Animal Rescue Organizations. We also provide pet fostering

programs, along with hands-volunteer programs through Rescue Buffalo.

Our mission strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives.

Our goal is to educate WNY communities on the importance of humane treatment of animals, spaying & neutering

and microchipping. To provide and promote awareness, compassion and the resources to safely home local  dogs

who are abandoned, injured or orphaned. Providing low cost medical and training services to reduce the number

of at risk dogs in shelters.

We are dedicated to the humane, efficient, high quality care of animals in our shelter.

We are committed to assisting local municipalities within our WNY surrounding areas in Campaigns and programs

to educate and raise community awareness about these services are ongoing.

We work closely with the Police Departments and Dog Control Officers to support any canine animal cruelty and

abuse reports, behavioral complaints, dog bite cases and animal/gang related issues.

Pit Chics greatest desire is for every animal that comes into our care to find a new, loving home. Although we have

built relationships with many wonderful new partners and are developing new ones every day, we still have a long

way to make our dream a reality.

The dogs that enter our care will be sheltered for a minimum of 3 business days prior to being available for adoption.

Our dogs may then be transferred to www.rescuebuffalo.org or one of our local WNY Animal Rescue Organizations.
